Our Francistide meeting was held at St Peter's, Goodworth Clatford where Brother Douglas Downes, founder of the SSF,
spent his final years.
Dorothy Dennis led us in a session on Francis and Lady Poverty.
Nigel Herriott led a session on the life of Brother Douglas.
Caroline Baston helped us think about what their responses to poverty mean for us today,
Our mid-day Eucharist with reneals was held in the small chapel of St Francis in the church.

Our Francistide meeting was held at Braishfield. Richenda Milton-Daws, a Trustee of Franciscan Aid, was our visiting speaker. Our mid-day Eucharist was led by +John and included renewals. We also welcomed Caroline and Anne who have moved to the area, admitted Margaret and Susan as Novices, and admitted Tania to the office of Area Novice Guardian.
Transitus at Park Place

Five of us attended the Transitus service held by the Sisters at Park Place on the evening of 3rd October. The service was led by Fr. Andrew McMahon OFM who gave an interesting and moving talk on the theme "Francis fell in love with the Humility of God".
St Clare Celebration

Our annual St Clare celebration was held at St Nicholas Church Brockenhurst. It was a joint meeting with the Bournemouth Local Group from the Wessex Area. We were also joined by Peter Thompson, our Link Tertiary.
After the service we enjoyed tea together and many of us visited the churchyard which contains 106 graves from the First World War. In addition to the 93 New Zealand graves, there are also three Indian and three unidentified Belgian civilians.

Our Area Quiet Day was held at St Mark's church, Ampfield, and was led by Revd Jonathan Herbert of the Hilfield Community on the theme "Walking with the Risen Christ".
It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed being able to walk in the churchyard and the surrouding woods.
The Winchester Area gathered in St Luke’s Church, Winchester in December to bless our cribs for Christmas. We were inspired by the variety of cribs displayed and reminded that God humbly meets each of us where we are. The meeting concluded with mulled wine and mince pies!
The 1st of July was a great time of celebration in the Winchester Area as two Tertiaries were ordained Deacon. Victoria and Simon were supported by lots of people from the TSSF Area on the big day as well as throughout their training.
The Area Quiet Day on Saturday, 31st March went well and was led by Robin Coutts. The day included the welcome of two new Novices and thanks to our retiring Area Minister, Terry, and welcome to our new Area Minister, Gillian.
Much fun was had by all at the 2010 Cluster Novice Day held at Wolvesey on Saturday. The day included an inspiring talk on Clare by Helen Stanton (pictured alongside) and was a welcome opportunity for the Novices in our Cluster to met people from accross the different Areas. .
